How i can reduce my anxiety in traffic jam?

Every day i have to face heavy traffic jam. Our government do not take necessary step to reduce traffic jam. It takes more than two hours to reach my destination. But without traffic jam it takes less than 30 minutes. So i feel very anxiety in the traffic jam. Sometime i feel very angry to the government. so what should i do in this situation. How i can reduce my anxiety.

  1. First of all, put on some relaxing music or any music you like to listen to, then try to focus on stuff that you have to do later on, you can also start planning holydays or think about people you should get in touch with … if you have bluetooth, you can talk on the phone with friends …

    Maybe you can get a portable dvd and watch something in it, if the traffic jam is too bad.

  2. Listen to calming music or books on tape to distract you from the traffic.

  3. Give everyone around you the one-fingered salute, scream, yell, and honk your horn.

  4. Music works the best for me. Once I got my Ipod hooked up to my stereo, nothing bothers me while I drive.
